The Knipex Wire Cutter with Spring delivers exceptional cutting performance with minimal effort, requiring 60% less force than conventional high-leverage diagonal cutters. Forged in Germany from chrome vanadium heavy-duty steel and multi-stage oil-hardened, these robust cutters feature micro-structured, induction-hardened cutting edges (approx. 64 HRC) capable of slicing through soft, hard, and piano wire, as well as bolts, nails, and rivets up to 1/4″ (6.0 mm) in diameter. The lever action design maximizes power, while a gripping surface below the joint allows for easy pulling of wires from 3/64″ thick. Designed for user convenience, they feature slim, multi-component handles in red and blue, complete with an integrated opening spring and locking device for comfortable operation and secure transport.
